About Us!
Delta Zeta was founded in 1902 at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Our six founders joined together to form a social sorority with a vision of lifetime sisterhood. Delta Zeta has now grown into 170 collegiate chapters across North America enriching the lives of over 260,000 initiated members.
The Zeta Pi chapter at the University of Georgia was founded in 1961. We currently have 332 members! Delta Zeta women are empowered to lead and serve. Every member is encouraged to join organizations outside of the sorority and are provided many resources to promote success. For almost 60 years, our members have been happily serving the Athens community and will continue to do so in the coming years.
“Everyone is so fun and welcoming! I instantly felt comfortable when I walked into DZ for the first time and was greeted with so many smiles!”
Anna Linde, PC ‘23
“So so welcoming and uplifting. Pref round was so sentimental and made me 100% certain on DZ. I loved having the opportunity to talk and listen to seniors who truly knew their chapter and see the friendships that I was soon to make.”
Devyn Damiano, PC ‘23
“Every time I went to DZ I felt like I was surrounded by my best friends immediately!!”
Josie Lee, PC ‘21
“When I walked into DZ on the first
day of rush I immediately knew it was
where I was meant to be. Now, I have
made my life long friends and can’t imagine life without them in it. DZ has brought me so many opportunities
and I’m so excited for the next few
years with my favorite people.
Olivia Pryor, PC ‘23
“DZ introduced me to so many people from in state and out of state, which was so important to me coming to UGA not knowing anyone! Especially my best friend Finley, I couldn’t imagine college without her ❤️”
Georgia Oglesby, PC ‘22
“I went DZ because during recruitment they seemed so invested and passionate about their philanthropy!
I saw these girls were so active on campus and how supportive they
were of each other’s successes
both in and out of the sorority!”
Becca Kann, PC ‘22
“Being held to a higher standard to volunteer in our community! Service hours are character building and represented well in DZ!!”
